Zurich Financial Services first asked us to assist them with their accommodation in 1996. Over the years, we have worked with the group across the UK, helping to ensure that an extensive property portfolio remained fully in line with emerging business requirements.
A recent project involved the planning, design and refurbishment of a major office in the City of London, the principal objectives being to upgrade the building throughout, improve occupation densities and introduce layout schemes to foster team work and group interaction. The design centred on the introduction of more open work areas, a contemporary and engaging interior scheme tailored to project individual business cultures of different operating groups, but within an overall concept for the building, and creating of a range of interview and meeting rooms coupled with multi-function breakout and informal meeting areas. Building services were also substantially improved.
We also managed the refurbishment the West End headquarters of the Zurich Advice Network (previously Allied Dunbar) whilst the building remained in full occupation. In addition to creating work areas that convey an individual team ethos within a standard interior scheme, our brief included creating a new reception area, a suite of client-facing interview and meeting rooms, a multi-function drop-in work facility, centralised filing in the basement and new boardroom and presentation suite.
